Staff Profile: George Piecznik, Ph.D. 

 

George Piecznik, Ph.D. is a member of the Tyho-Galileo Research team.  Dr. Pieczenik trained at Harvard, Rockefeller University, and the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology. He worked with Fred Sanger on DNA sequencing and published with Francis Crick on the Genetic Code.  He also worked with Bruce Merrifield in developing chemical combinatorial libraries and with Norton Zinder in developing recombinant combinatorial libraries. He has also published with Sydney Brenner.  He has the pioneering patents in combinatorial chemistry.
